The Oceanário de Lisboa is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (last entry at 7:00 PM). Hours may vary on Dec 24, 25, and Jan 1.

Standard Oceanarium Lisbon tickets range for adults (ages 13–64) between €25 – €31, children’s tickets (ages 3–12) from €15 – €18 and seniors (65+) from €17 – €21. Children under 3 years old enter for free. These price fluctuations are due to the Off Peak and Peak times. Tip: Booking online in advance is recommended to secure your preferred time slot.

A complete visit usually takes between 2 to 3 hours. This allows enough time to explore the massive central tank, the four distinct marine habitats, and the temporary exhibitions like “Forests Underwater.”

Weekdays at 10:00 AM or after 5:00 PM are best for avoiding crowds.

Take the Metro Red Line to Oriente Station; it is a 10-minute walk from there.

The best time to visit the Oceanário de Lisboa depends on a balance between avoiding crowds and enjoying pleasant surroundings. However, we recommend you to visit the Oceanarium with minimal crowds to enjoy it at the fullest. For that, try to schedule the visit on a weekday, arriving early around 10 AM, or later around 3–4 PM. Try to choose Spring or Autumn for perfect weather and fewer people, and definitely pre-book your tickets to skip the regular lines. Also avoid Portuguese public holidays/weekends because locals tend to visit then.
