The Oceanogràfic València opened in 2003, as part of the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias complex. It became Europe’s largest aquarium, featuring 9 underwater towers that recreate habitats from the Mediterranean to the Arctic.

It became a hub for marine conservation, rescuing injured sea turtles and partnering with global organisations. With the Oceanogràfic Foundation, the aquarium solidified its role as a leader in research and sustainability, introducing breeding programs and anti-pollution initiatives.

Oceanogràfic València is a top attraction, home to 45,000 animals from 500+ species, that blends entertainment, education, and conservation.
